You have it right. The prosecutor said the first five shots were justified, but the last two were not.

Hogwash. Been in too many scuffles where no one needed shooting. Someone shoving you or even punching you is not justification to pull out a gun and start shooting off rounds.
This woman was LUCKY she didn’t kill or injure an innocent person.
I’m a retired litigator. She will almost certainly walk. She was hit in the head twice from behind, apparently once from a solid object used as a club. Any decent defense attorney will argue the “unavoidably impaired judgment” defense and win with it.

Wow. Any pubic high school graduate since 1980 could use that defense.
She fires two more shots. Those shots have landed her in trouble. They connected with her initial attacker.
