Known as “Bobos” in France — short for bourgeois-bohemian — young hipsters are finding it increasingly more difficult to maintain their lifestyles in the French capital and, as a result, many are packing up their bags and heading elsewhere, Paris Zigzag reports.
Between 2009 and 2014, the city saw 14,000 Parisians leave the city and head into the provinces for a different lifestyle, with more and more Parisians saying they would rather live in the countryside.
In March, a study by L’observatoire société et consommation (L’OBSOCO/Society and Consumption Observatory), found that 72 per cent of residents in the French capital thought a lot about living somewhere else, while 82 per cent said they would like to live in a small village in the countryside. ...
Previously, Bobos were seen as members of the “elite” with solid educations and well-paying jobs, but now the new term “Paubo” — short for pauvre-bourgeois or poor-bourgeois — has become common as new graduates struggle to find affordable housing within the city.
Security is also a major issue, with around 48 per cent of Parisians saying they have been the victim of a robbery or assault in the last three years.
The situation is particularly bad for women, who are targetted for sexual assaults on French capital’s Metro subway and on the street. A report released in March highlighted a 30 per cent increase in sexual assaults on the Metro in 2018 alone, with over 1,000 cases reported.
In 2018, mobile phone app developer Fabien Boyaval went as far as designing an app to help chaperone women travelling around the city, to lessen the risk of them being victims of robberies or sex attacks.

Interesting. These same folks are probably among those who felt France was so much better than America because we wanted the illegals out of this country.
Of course, they’ll drag their mindset of ‘tolerance’ into the countryside and ruin that as well.
It occurred to me several months ago that really, just about all of human history has been “white flight”. It will never end.
I hear Prague is a nice place to tour this time of year.
What could possibly changed in the past 3 years to cause such a spike? Wouldn't want to profile but was there a link with their attackers' last names, country of origin and religion? Hate to tell these young hipsters, but moving to the countryside isn't the answer.

We were in Hungary last years. Locals told us there were French people moving in, and sending their kids to local schools and universities. The locals said the French kids were “undisciplined” and made “trouble” for the teachers etc.

Isn’t the purpose of a city, a country to protect the interests of the people within - the citizens? Isn’t that why centuries ago people banded together - so they could live in peace and relative prosperity and protect their common interests from savages?

What I don’t know is why - why would you turn your country into a hellhole and destroy your own culture by injecting what you already knew would be un-assimilating monsters?

Sheesh, sometimes I wonder about the French.
Remember a few years ago, someone got in trouble with the PC police, for creating an app or map attachment, which showed where the bad neighborhoods were in various cities? This is one of those verboten subjects, which everyone thinks about but people are afraid to talk about.
