If an 'ordinary' (if that is the word) axe murderer were running around at a public school, wouldn't it have made sense to get the criminal out as quickly as possible? No niceties, just get the beast the heck out to protect the kids.
In the sanctuary city of Los Angeles, things are different for illegals. Twenty-two MS-13 members who'd chopped up a classmate and ripped his heart out at a Panorama City neighborhood school were apparently left to do what they do by authorities, and anyone saying anything about it or wondering where the disappeared kid was got sanctioned and punished. The remaining kids were reportedly so scared they wouldn't talk about it, according to the report. What a nightmare school going to that school must have been and probably still is.

Students, parents and teachers at a California high school community are expressing unease this week after it emerged that administrators – following instructions from police – kept them in the dark about classmates who allegedly were linked to violent MS-13 activity, a report says.
The community at Panorama High School told the Los Angeles Times they received few to no details until prosecutors last week announced murder and racketeering charges against 22 suspected members of an MS-13 clique in the Los Angeles area. Six Panorama students, the newspaper adds, were detained in February 2018 with no explanation. They are now linked to the off-campus killings of a classmate and another individual allegedly carried out by the clique, investigators revealed.

In this instance, the students probably know more about what happened than do the cops.

Read an article a few years ago about some African import to Canada. He was in his thirties, attending high school and playing on the basketball team. When he got caught, he said he thought he was a teenager because he didn't have a birth certificate and didn't know what year he was born.
Probably about thirty years ago, I was listening to a Christian radio station and they had an LA cop on. He was talking about how they'd reduced the crime rate by enforcing truancy laws. He was talking about how car thefts, muggings, and burglaries were down. I called in and said, "so you solved the problem by putting burglars and muggers in the public schools? Who protects the students who just want to get an education?" He fumbled around a little, and finally said that when on school property they were the problem of the school campus police.
Lemme guess, since it’s ok for them to murder classmates in their country of origin, they should be able to do the same here because they don’t know any better. Hey, that excuse seems to work with rape.
As to the last part of your reply: IIRC, under 0bama, there was a HUGE effort to “decriminalize” anything done by thugs within the schools. This seemed to have had the effect of giving the offenders all benefits of all doubts in all situations (while teachers and school administrators were presumed to be guilty).
This was probably especially helpful for the youthful criminals in any “3 strikes” jurisdictions.
I expect things are still being done this way in most school districts.
And not just California. Many other across the country, including churches, are guilty of this lie.
Once public officials abandon their pledge to protect us, all things are possible.
