They illegally surveilled and unmasked members of the Trump campaign and likely his family. In order to cover this up after the fact they HAD to obtain a FISA warrant, which legally allows the government to go backwards in time to listen to and look at all forms of communication. It was a set-up for a cover-up. The “damage” was just a bonus to those who promoted it, but the real reason was to cover a bunch of butts after you know who unexpectedly won.
This needs to be understood by everyone - a FISA warrant allows for “retroactive” surveillance. There was NO legal basis for the surveillance they conducted prior to the FISA. It was ILLEGAL. This started as a CYA and later morphed into a coup attempt. It was so sloppy because they did not expect Trump to win! When it appeared Trump was going to be the nominee the FISA was the insurance policy. When he won, they did not know what to do so they pulled out all the stops always believing that “something” would be found. It was not.
Nothing the 2nd. Amendment wouldn’t fix.
