Current Sr. Google Engineer Goes Public On Camera: Tech is “Dangerous,” “Taking Sides”
Project Veritas ^ | 07/24/19

Insider: “It’s time to decide, do we run the technology, or does the technology run us?”
“I really don’t buy the idea that big tech is politically neutral.”
“Are we going to just let the biggest tech companies decide who wins every election from now on?”
“I look at search and I look at Google News and I see what it’s doing and I see Google executives go to Congress and say that it’s not manipulated. It’s not political. And I’m just so sure that’s not true.”
“I have a PhD, I have five years’ experience at Google and I just know how algorithms are. They don’t write themselves. We write them to do what we want them to do.”

Project Veritas has published an on-the-record interview with an insider who works at Google named Greg Coppola. This video interview follows a series of insider Google reports, including internal Google documents, recently published by Project Veritas which exposed political bias“algorithmic unfairness,” and the use of “blacklists” at YouTube.

Coppola is a senior software engineer at Google who works on artificial intelligence and the Google Assistant:

COPPOLA: I’ve been coding since I was ten [years old.] I have a PhD, I have five years’ experience at Google and I just know how algorithms are. They don’t write themselves. We write them to do what want them to do.”

(Other brave individuals who feel compelled to expose wrongdoing they witness can contact Project Veritas by sending an encrypted email to VeritasTips@protonmail.com.)

“that can be dangerous…”

The insider spoke with Project Veritas because he wants people to be aware of his concerns about technology companies’ ability to influence politics:

As much as the left despised McCarthy, they sure do enjoy his tactics. They won’t be satisfied until conservatives can neither speak online nor make money there, and even then they won’t be satisfied.

Everybody already knows what is happening.

I don’t even need an engineer or a programmer to say it.

Half the country doesn’t care, because they think it benefits them, and the other half of the country are pissed about it but can’t do a damned thing except cry in their cherios

What is new is that it has gotten so brazen that even the hapless GOPe has begun to notice.

US social media has an emerging NOMENKLATURA system, and if your name is on the LIST of Thought Crime Persons, then it's okay for everyone to publicly threaten you with DEATH.

All new tech is potentially dangerous and/or holds promise, like any other tool it's up to us to use it wisely.
That has not changed since the first stone axe.

A knowledgeable insider saying it versus the victims of liberal censorship accusing them of it are two different things to the ignorant, liberal public.

They won’t be satisfied until conservatives can neither speak online nor make money there...

I think there is a reason for that.

I noticed years ago that the right uses logic and the left uses feelings. It’s why the left is in favor of so many policies that prove to have detrimental unintended consequences that any thinking conservative could easily see coming.

And this is why I was so excited about the internet, and it came to fruition with Dan Rather. The idea is that, when all sides are given an equal voice, the truth percolates to the surface. The result, over the last 20 years, is that the right “owns” the internet. We are everywhere, shutting down liberals, with their pointless ad-hominem attacks and fruitless efforts to project or deflect. We even own the comments in official CNN videos on Youtube.

But the left owns the MSM, where they can control who gets heard, and what topics are discussed. And the result is that the MSM is losing followers. It is bleeding out.

So the only solution is to somehow reduce the power/voice of the right on the internet. Fortunately, that is easier said than done. They will have to get downright draconian to make the impact they need to make. And when that happens, well, everyone will see it because the internet still will be allowing the conservative voices, since they can’t completely silence them.

Anyone here try Dissenter?
