I would think NZ would follow Switzerland’s example. In Switzerland, as in Israel, those in the military or the militia, keep their weapons at home. Lots of similarities among the three. NZ is a remote island country, Switzerland is a remote mountain country, Israel, is a small remote country surrounded by hostile.
