Excellent Post, Thanks for the site and all you do.
Have you no empathy for those poor souls that have to take a number and wait in line to get those tax dollars of yours redistributed? Have you not heard the lamentations of the poor and their children that are hungry and waiting for what they call their 'income'? You don't ? ....... I don't either /megasarc
Since he is a mulatto having both black & white "blood" does that make him a privileged schizophrenic?
Inquiring minds want to know.
I feel bad for EVERYONE.
There should be a “minimum income” in the US.
Zero is a good place to start.
By white privilege I assume thats: holding a job for over 30 years, having a family and staying together through thick and thin, going to church and believing in more than myself, keeping up a nice home and taking care of the things I purchase and finally not asking anything from
anybody.
Got the eff out of Africa 70k years ago, and we’re the bad guys.
Jim, an essay beautiful in its simplicity and persuasion.
It’s ironic that the democrats have been using blacks for two hundred years to maintain their privilege.
Anyone receiving an entitlement is benefiting from a privilege. They just havent realized that the two are synonymous, but it will be revealed as such someday when either the electoral will and/or the money runs out.
“Privilege” is just another word selected by those engaging in attempted mass mind control.
A better, more accurate word is “advantage”.
Yes, there are advantages to being white, being American, being an English-speaking person, being a Christian, etc. Being beautiful, athletic, tall, rich, smart, famous, etc. are some other advantages some people have that others do not.
There are many stations in life which give a person an advantage in life. Some of these things are earned, and some are not.
It is is a good thing when those who are advantaged help those who are disadvantaged—but this must be done voluntarily. And those who are disadvantaged must make the most of the opportunities given to them. Some people live their lives in poor health while other do not. Some live long lives and others die young.
The government has no business trying to remedy these differences. It is ill-equipped to do so. Unless a politician is willing to live on an income and have a lifestyle of an average citizen, his or her appeals for “equality” of outcomes should be met with ridicule or even outrage.
In fact, they should have their legs broken to show solidarity with the lame, have their eyes poked out to show solidarity with the blind, have their hearing destroyed to show support for the deaf, live under a bridge to show sympathy to the homeless, and then die quickly to show their support for the dead.
Making the most of what God has given us and being grateful for these things is not the left’s maligned “privilege”. It is God’s grace and goodness. They would do well to seek His favor rather than showing contempt for what He has done for others.
Excellent
WORK!
Anyone can be privileged.
Stay in school. Learn a skill or trade. Dont do drugs. Dont have children out of wedlock. Believe in God.
As was no doubt true for you, I was not privileged for having good parents who aided my success in life — that was my birthright. And it would have been lost had I rejected the good values that they taught me.
What they really mean is that they want whatever you got.
That’s a GREAT pic.
Everyone is sick of it and that is why The Donald will WIN in 2020.
Excellent, thanks Jim!
I was privileged to be born into a middle class family with loving parents who instilled the importance of educational achievement. I was privileged to get a newspaper route to earn a few $$ a week in spending money, and then at 16 to work at McDonalds for a year for minimum wage ($2.90/hour). Also worked through college and took loans for tuition which I paid back 100%. My ancestors were enslaved long before the first Africans came to America, but I have not sought reparations from the modern day Egyptians nor do I feel an obligation to pay the same to African-Americans.
