More Than 2,000 Migrants Were Targeted in Raids. 35 Were Arrested.

More than 2,000 migrants who were in the United States illegally were targeted in widely publicized raids that unfolded across the country last week. But figures the government provided to The New York Times on Monday show that just 35 people were detained in the operation.

...

The arrests of the nearly three dozen migrants — 17 of whom were members of families that crossed the border together and 18 of whom were so-called collateral apprehensions of undocumented people — were among more than 900 that the immigration authorities have made since mid-May, Mr. Albence said.

From May 13 through July 11, ICE arrested 899 adults who had final deportation orders, in an undertaking called Operation Cross Check. The majority had criminal convictions, Mr. Albence said.

...

In fiscal year 2018, the Trump administration deported 256,086 immigrants, an increase of 13 percent over the previous year. In contrast, President Barack Obama removed 409,849 people in 2012, an all-time high, and 235,413 in fiscal year 2015.

...

Last week, Mr. Trump deemed the operation targeting families that began around July 14 as “very successful.”

This is a long, detailed, and sobering article. Just 17 people of the more than 2,000 of the millions were arrested and presumed deported. The other 18 just had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And look at the numbers, from May 13 to July 11 only 899 people with deportation orders were arrested and presumed deported.

And only 265,086 in 2018. People are entering the US illegally after than that!!!

We can argue about the wall all we want, whether it is just a tiny bit of replacement wall or new wall (many of us have been discussing this over the past few days), but deporting people already here does not need new legislation, new funding, or standing by for the courts. These are people already in the US, many with deportation orders. Yet, ICE is doing their work at a snail’s pace, a trickle of people arrested and presumed deported. I say presumed because they report arrested and do not state if they were actually deported. ICE needs to get to work!!!

"I'm going to deport a million illegals."

Cuccineli said it.

I went to Home Depot yesterday.

There are many Mexicans there, out in front.

They’re concealing NOTHING.

This is on Trump’s watch. Like it or not he is going to have to earn my vote again because as of now he has lost my support. Immigration WAS/IS the pivotal issue for me and the future.

This is good news! The traitors in the MSM who will work their agitprop thinking their undocumented “friends” will be complacent.

I guess the NYT will still think Trump is a Nazi, but he’s just not very good at being a Nazi.

According to CNN, neighbors of illegals in Nashville prevented the ICE agents from apprehending their targets and the illegals escaped. The Nashville police were on hand and would not intervene to help capture the criminals or arrest those guilty of aiding and abetting. Dead silence from the White House on official lawlessness once again.

This problem has been 20+ yrs in the making and it will take time to correct.

Whether you choose to admit or not progress IS being made. You can bet on one thing. The illegals in this country are looking over their shoulder every time they walk out the door.

I thinking there should be a $500 bounty put on the head of all illegals.

I have often suggested a $500 bounty on every illegal alien. Figure a way to do it legally and safely. Americans could solve the problem in weeks.

In addition to deportation we need to start imposing serious fines on those who hire or rent to illegal aliens, to be followed by criminal prosecution for repeat offenders. Remove the incentives for illegal aliens to come here.

If they have court deportation orders and have not shown up, etc. then couldn’t the government hire bounty hunters for $10,0000 or 20,000 per person?

Would be faster, better, more effective. Just unleash American greed upon those criminals.

The airlines would not be able to cope with the flow, we would have to house the deportees in temporary housing and of course we would be accused of running concentration camps!

Put big refrigerator magnets with the letters ICE on cargo vans. Pay people to do it.

I used to see those guys when I lived in Seattle. I don’t see it here in Kentucky, though.

In fact, when I go to costco here virtually everyone there is white. It’s similar to what Costco looked like in Tukwila, WA when I became a member in 1988.

I visited that same Costco last summer when visiting family in the Seattle area. White people were a minority there.

It really drove home that where I now live is VERY much like most of the country was back in the 50’s - in a good way - but with better internet access.

It would be hard to live here in the sticks without Amazon.com. :)

A C-130 could carry about 150 in great discomfort for about 2,000 miles.

Make it an even grand.

That’s only ten billion for ten million illegals.

Sure, there are more, but with an almost 4 trillion dollar annual budget, spending ten billion (0.1% of budget) on bounties is money well spent.

Over the remainder of Trump’s administration, we can get all of them at 10 million per year.

During the Trump roundup this should be done. Besides determining how they got a drivers license show how much it’s costing taxpayers of that state. Also point out increased premiums on drivers insurance rates. Check the precinct list of registered voters where these people resided. If they’re on that list, Federal crime, charge them and those that enabled them to vote knowing they were illegals. If ebough noise is made it should discourage illegals still here from voting.
