My opinion of Cruz is confirmed! Worthless! And Rush and Levin were backing him in ‘16 over Trump!

He probably got spooked by his close re-election against Beto. So now he wants to cultivate a more moderate image.

That's it exactly. Whether that strategy will work for him or not remains to be seen. It's kinda phony, but voters often don't mind phonies (e.g., Clinton, Obama et al.).

I watched Cruz on firing line last night.
He still sounds like a principled conservative to me.

“ but I don’t see anything wrong with what he is doing. We should encourage our law makers to work with each other.”

Any chance of getting democrat lawmakers to work with Trump? With Republicans?

Beto won 32 counties out of 254...along with those in or around the major cities.

...and got shockingly close to defeating Canuck Ted.

If Texas falls, so does America.

You know what? It is all on them, then. President Trump and Senator Cruz look like the adults in the room

If they stomp and cry like a bunch of whiny little babies, its all on them. Let the voters decide if they deserve another 2 years in the house. One thing voters said in 2018 is that they want the parties to work together, if Trump and Cruz are offering the olive branch and the Democrats shove up our rears, it is all on them. Let them answer for it in 2020

Maybe he thinks he can turn her to the light side. But She’d have to be stupid not to understand that the Democrat goons in the so-called entertainment” industry would destroy her.

I made a wild prediction a few months ago that AOC will be running for president in her 40’s as the Republican Nominee. She is still young, she still can “wake up” that her communist/socialist ideas are just pure nonsense.

No, she is not stupid, she just wants us to think she is so we will under estimate her.

President stuck up for Pelosi against AOC and look what happened. Pelosi turned on him vs.reprimanding AOC she allows impeachment to go forward even though it was tabled.

He ungratefully forgets he won reelection solely because President Trump dragged his sorry a55 over the finish line. I suspect this Cuban-Canadian still thinks he can run again for president. He’s still a conniving liar, quietly supporting amnesty, welcoming borders (bet he’d again be down there with teddy bears and soccer balls if he thought it’d improve his image and support), and increased H1B with letting them stay as well. Natural born citizens are not among his higher priorities.

“Pelosi turned on him (Trump_ vs.reprimanding AOC”

We can be pretty sure that Obama and ValJar are running this show and AOC, et posse, are his puppets. Pelosi knows she can’t fight BHO & VJ.

For Republican politicians there are two top positions — President of the United States and leading critic of the Republican president, also known as the John McCain role.

Being a Republican president means getting to make America great again, improving the economy, etc., which the current Republican president is accomplishing. But it also means being attacked day and night by the crazed, deranged hatred of the liberal mainstream media.

In contrast, the Republican president’s worst Republican critic — formerly John McCain — gets lavish favorable attention from the same media, has a virtually permanent seat on the Sunday talk show circuit, and can look forward to a heavily media-covered funeral full of slavish praise and veneration.

With the death of John McCain, the John McCain role of publicly bashing the latest Republican president has gone unfilled. The leading contenders have been Mitt Romney and now Ted Cruz. It would be interesting to watch this fight if the contenders weren’t such nebbishes who refuse to make punches instead of little jabs from time to time. For now, hold the popcorn.

Once a lying RINO, always a lying RINO.

Don't forget he handed out teddy bears at the border.

Speaking of crazy women, his wife was once picked up by the cops for crying out on the side of I-30 one night. We never did find out what that was all about.

Don't you love how they don't tell you what Cruz and AOC agree on:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Ted Cruz have formed an unlikely alliance to try to bar former members of congress from working as lobbyists.

So, let's burn Ted at the stake for wanting to stop congressmen (and women) from turning into lobbyists once they leave Congress. DO tell me how that harms America! DC is legendary for congresscritters being paid obscene amounts to push their former friends into passing sweetheart deals that typically shortchange the country.

Every now and again, a Democrat actually has a sensible thought. I'm happy my senator isn't hung up on "us vs. them" mentality that they can't recognize an ally on a particular issue.
