Washington (CNN)A federal judge Friday paused congressional Democrats' subpoenas of Trump Organization financial records, 10 days before the records were due in a lawsuit over whether President Donald Trump is violating the Constitution.
The delay is a win for Trump, even if temporary. He's attempting -- and so far has succeeded -- to hold off multiple subpoenas from the Democrats that could divulge secrets about his company and assets. Judge Emmet Sullivan made the decision Friday shortly after the appeals court above him said it wanted to hear the emoluments case. The case had been progressing, with the Democrats sending 37 subpoenas earlier this month seeking financial information about Mar-a-Lago, the Trump International Hotel, Trump Tower and other Trump properties. Those subpoenas had a due date of July 29.

They should be criminally prosecuted for the first one, and they should be denied ANY second investigations because of it.
hmmm...no mention of the obligatory “Trump appointed judge” nowhere in the article. Call me a cynic but could be an Obama appointed judge but it would be inconvenient for CNN to say so.
This would be funny if it weren’t so serious.
What I mean is, these liberals who don’t even know what emoluments means, and who didn’t know there was an emoluments clause in the Constitution, are convinced that Trump has violated it.

I think they’re pushing that distinction. The claim, IIRC, is that foreign *dignitaries* book at Trump properties in order to influence him.
After the inauguration, Trump declared all PROFITS from foreigners renting his properties are to be donated to the US Treasury.
All I recall and it may not be 100% accurate.
After expenses and depreciation I am sure there are no profits, unless Trump needs to fire his accountant.
You can always tell when rats are at the end of their rope . . . they cite the Constitution they despise.
