“Newt Gingrich: Trump vs. Omar, AOC and more – Why 2020 will be all about patriotism vs. racism”

if Trump and the GOP play their cards right, the election is going to boil down to “American First” vs “America Last” ...

The GOP Leadership is totally out of touch with Trump's base and I dare say with the Republican electorate at large in their pursuit of "recruiting and electing more women to the House and Senate instead of more conservatives and former military or LEO to the House and Senate.

More women is meaningless, unless they're like Liz Cheney. We don't need more like Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski or even Joni Ernst.

We also don't need to blow the Alabama Senate seat. I'm already praying the smart Alabama voters will settle that mess in the primary so that Demonic-Rat Doug Jones will lose in a landslide. Roll Tide!

There’s no way the RATS can stretch the racism schitck till fall of 2020. Most people I talk to are bored with it already.

That leads me to wonder what their next emphasis will be?

Race and queers, all the time. Nothing else needs attention, just race and queers.

I agree, the race angle isn’t gonna do it for them.

I’m sure they’ll keep throwing whatever they can against the wall to see if anything will stick and they’re good at making things up.

We have until President Trump is out of office to get the GOP to side with the citizens and the rule of law.

Most of the elected have spent their entire career preventing us from stopping the illegal alien inundation.

About the illegal entrants - the myth is that these people are coming to work on farms. That is so obviously just a tiny fraction of immigrants it is not worth discussing but that myth is perpetuated because of the perception that “evil republican rich farmers” are exploiting cheap labor.

The truth is that every major city in America - most of them Democrat hotbeds - rely on immigrant labor to run. All the hotels that need cleaning and cooking and serving, all the convention centers need set-up and cleaning and tear down, all the major city services and the businesses in the city that depend on tourism and travel are desperate for cheap labor. The GOP who have been stonewalling a secure border are complicit in it - and sure, there is industry that benefits from it and that benefits from competition in the labor wage market in general.

With this push to $15/hour minimum wage, which benefits I don’t know who to be sure, it will change the dynamics. Things are going to cost a lot more but especially the cost of running major cities. Atlas is going to shrug at some point.

We have a major uphill battle, because while Trump is fighting for many things, he is not exactly a limited government Constitutionalist.

IMO, now is the time for us to push hard the other direction. Stop compromising on our core values and stop letting the opposition define us. All this "racism" crap is a total distraction. If we don't ignore it than we should swat it away with a simple statement such as "the GOP is a political party that advocates individual freedom and autonomy, limited government, decentralized power, lower taxes, pro-market, pro-competition and minimal regulations. All people of all races, religions, ethncities, sexes and identities are welcome in the GOP if they believe in the power of individual liberty like we do".

It is a message that will resonate. We can't keep playing their game. We have to fight for what we believe.

I didn't know John James was running again.

This guy is a rock star. A combat vet, businessman, movie star good looks (think Denzel Washington), this guy has it all.

I still don't know why he lost to Stabenow.
