The Brits have no way to enforce their safe passage.
The Royal Navy now consists of what? 2 frigates? and possibly a functioning carrier?
All the defense budget has gone to welfare programs.

I seriously doubt the Brits have any guts any more. Maybe a lot of the general public but the government? Forget it.
