The practice of government "providing" thimgs to people has always proven to be a doomed vote-buying scheme.

Government mustn't keep trying...and failing...to "give" health care or insurance to people.

Government needs to remove the obstacles to freedom, and let private companies offer their services in a free and open market.

Thankfully, the article offers some ways to do just that.

Government regulation, Insurance company cost of doing business, pharmacy benefit managers, all kinds of middlemen exist. Their cost can be established plus or minus 2%.

Pass a law that doctors can charge their cost directly to the patient if the patient pays cash, including credit card within 30 days of service. Create an incentive to take all the middle men out of the business.

The direct result of this would be that suddenly the cost of all the middle men will drop by 50%.
