It only takes a 2/3 vote of the House to expel her for marriage and tax fraud, among other likely crimes. They don’t have to wait for a conviction even, because other than treason (which may also apply) the constitution gives Congress leeway to determine what the standard is.

But it would be a shame for the Democrat’s leading hole-digger to be retired early, so I hope there are enough Republicans to block any such effort. Then the Dems will be forced to endure her “help” til the next election and maybe the dummies of Little Mogadishu will re-elect her!

Obama’s U.S. Department of State (DOS) discovered widespread Somali fraud in Minnessota in one of its largest programs for admissions to America, the so-called P-3 family reunification program.

First revealed by Miriam Jordan writing at TheWall Street Journal, the DOS learned that as many as 30,000 Somalis had entered America under the false pretense of “family members,” but were later determined through random DNA testing to have used the program fraudulently.

Large numbers of Somali refugee family members were found to not be biologically related at all. Under the scandal, Somali “relatives” were continuously being “found” and joining their “family” in the U.S. As Frontlinereported in 2015, they were making up “ghost children.”

The degree of the fraud shocked the outgoing Bush Administration and as President Barack Obama took charge of the DOS, it had no choice but to suspend the program indefinitely. From 2008-2012, family reunification from Somalia, and other east African countries, was closed.

However, no effort was made by the Obama administration’s immigration officials to discover and remove those found to have committed immigration fraud. There is no evidence to date that Omar’s family participated in the widespread practice.

Indeed, when allegations surfaced in 2016 about Omar’s questionable marriage, then Minnesota U.S. Attorney Andrew Lugar, an Obama appointee, refused to investigate, andcorrected local affiliate KMSP Fox 9 for reporting that he did.

“U.S. Attorney Andy Luger says he did not ask U.S. Immigration & Customs (ICE) to investigate the immigration status of legislative candidate Ilhan Omar,” Fox 9 reported.
But now, under a new Republican administration, the DOJ and Attorney General Jeff Sessions have reopened investigations into fraudulent immigration, which, if the allegations against her are true, Omar could be tied up in.

In Nov. 2017, for instance, the DOJ revoked the citizenship of four Somalians living in Minnesota who had lied on their visa applications.

“The current immigration system is easily abused by fraudsters and nefarious actors, and that’s certainly true of the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program,” Sessions said at the time. “If the fraud is not detected and swift enforcement actions are not taken, chain migration only multiplies the consequences of this abuse.”

Here is the gist of the story, from the posted article (he makes a very strong case):

In 1995, Ilhan entered the United States as a fraudulent member of the “Omar” family.

That is not her family (she was born in the Elmi family). The Omar family is a second, unrelated family which was being granted asylum by the United States. The Omars allowed Ilhan, her genetic sister Sahra, and her genetic father Nur Said to use false names to apply for asylum as members of the Omar family.

The genetic family split up at this time. The above three received asylum in the United States, while Ilhan’s three other siblings — using their real names — managed to get asylum in the United Kingdom. Ilhan later personally committed multiple frauds to get her brother US citizenship.

Reportedly, Ilhan Omar’s father was a loyalist of Siad Barre in Somali, and their extended family held positions within the Barre Government. Their family left Somali in 1991, the year that Siad Barre’s Government was thrown out of power.

Siad Barre took power through a coup in 1969, and made Somalia into a Marxist-Leninist dictatorship, and a client of the Soviet Union. From Wikipedia: “The United Nations Development Programme stated that “the 21-year regime of Siyad Barre had one of the worst human rights records in Africa.”

Just a few years before the fall of Siad Barre’s dictatorship (1987-89), his Government conducted a Genocide of the Isaaq Clan. From Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaaq_genocide):

“This genocide also included the levelling and complete destruction of the second and third largest cities in Somalia, Hargeisa (which was 90 per cent destroyed) and Burao (70 per cent destroyed) respectively, and had caused up to 500,000 Somalis (primarily of the Isaaq clan) to flee their land and cross the border to Hartasheikh in Ethiopia as refugees, in what was described as “one of the fastest and largest forced movements of people recorded in Africa”, and resulted in the creation of the world’s largest refugee camp then (1988), with another 400,000 being internally displaced. The scale of destruction led to Hargeisa being known as the ‘Dresden of Africa’. The killings happened during the Somali Civil War and have been referred to as a “forgotten genocide”.

So 1988 and 1989 was when refugee camps swelled with Somalis escaping the genocide of the Leftist Dictatorship in Somalia. But Omar and her family left Somalia in 1991, when the communist perpetrators of that genocide were expelled from power.
