Do infantry and armor leaders carry printed maps these days? Does the DOD even print maps anymore?
Great question. We had ours in map cases we could draw on with grease pencils. No computers, no GPS, just old fashion movement from point A to B.
Of course, how else would one know terrain features before “going there”?
