A federal judge Wednesday confirmed federal prosecutors in New York City ended their investigation into Trump campaign finance violations, which focused on former Trump attorney Michael Cohen and the Trump Organization.
Judge William Pauley confirmed the end of the probe in an order to release the remaining files in the case against Michael Cohen, the former Trump attorney who is serving a three-year prison term for several crimes.
The end of the investigation indicates that no additional Trump Organization executives — a group that includes Donald Trump Jr. — will be charged in the investigation, which was led by attorneys in U.S. attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York (SDNY).

I think these deep state people have their own rumor mills cranked up - notice how we heard what a "fair" guy Mueller was, and what a straight-shooter Comey was? These are deliberately planted to get the people that the deep state wants in power.
Why on earth would Cohen pick Lanny as his attorney unless several different people were planted around him saying what a great idea it would be?
Why exactly was there a judge involved in this “probe?” Are we now Spain, where the inquisition is still going on?

Lanny committed malpractice by selling Cohen up the river. Or maybe it was just his conflict of interest. It seemed all along that his real aim was to get Trump, not absolve Cohen.

Why does the Judge have a right to make these documents public? They belong to Cohen and, insofar as they are work product for Trump, these are not public records. Trump has a right to privacy in his legal affairs.
If Trump has not been found guilty of anything, then no one has a right to make his records public. Cohen’s personal records are fair game since there was a conviction (or guilty plea) but Trump’s, lacking any charges against him, are private... and, at minimum, subject to attorney-client privilege.
Am I wrong?
I think, from a political point of view, this should be a big deal for Trump and his team or am I missing it?

I must admit this investigation did have me worried from a political point of view. But, now that it is apparently closed and the creepy lawyer dude has been charged on over other crimes, Trump is really coming out smelling like roses. The adminstration should play this for all that it is worth. Of course, the media will not cover it.

It sounds to me like the opposition's offense has been taken off the table.
I don't think there are any more open investigations targeted against President Trump and his associates. There are still open prosecutions (like Roger Stone), but it seems like the legal offense has petered out.
