The phrase “racially charged” was made up so that it can mean whatever the left wants it to mean.
The headline is itself an example of why support for Trump went up.
I'm afraid it's worse than that. The Left is obsessed with race. They're plumbing the depths of that malignancy with notions such as unconscious racism, cultural appropriation, cultural sensitivity etc. They have the mindset of cultural Marxism, which is one of grievance.
That's foreign to us...or should I say, to me. I've worked hard at moving beyond race. In most situations I'm indifferent to race. I'm moving toward MLK's ideal of measuring people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Because I'm not obsessed with race, that makes me (in their minds) a racist. By definition.
I'm not motivated by grievance. I don't think someone is trying to prevent me from being successful, unless they are.
