You are a trooper and you have come a long way. Why, you’re already building mixers and stirring the pot on the radio. LOL!
Howdy, Kathy! (((hugs)))
Thanks for the ping-a-ling! Hope today wasn’t a killer for you. Did the fires finally go out?
Yeesh. Just what you need is AC problems right now! Hope it was just a glitch.
I remember Apollo well. We were living in Germany and had to watch it with no sound because our TV didn’t work well with their system. An amazing moment. David was 6 months old.
Your Heart is Colorful
You are independent yet interdependent. You want other people around, but you don’t like needing them.
You are warm-hearted and caring. You celebrate and commiserate along with your friends.
You are a free spirit, but deep down you are reliable and trustworthy. You honor your commitments.
You are the friend everyone invites to the party. It’s not the same if you’re not there.
*~*
Laf, that sounds like I actually have a social life.
Your Energy is Colorful
You travel light. There’s nothing worse than having too much baggage.
You have a restless heart, and you get sick of the same old routine. You don’t just love change, you crave it.
The world fascinates you. You maintain a childlike curiosity about everything.
You’re the type of person who is always on. You refuse to do anything on autopilot.
I have no clue what’s wrong with the AC. It isn’t very old. Could be a thermostat problem. Could be something worse.
Some of the work and testing on the Apollo rockets was done at the AF base here and Dad had a hand in it. We were glued to the TV watching that historic moment with the thought in mind that Dad had helped make it happen. We were thrilled and proud.
One of the highlights in Dad’s life was getting to meet Neil Armstrong a couple of years later.

Wow....no wonder you were especially proud, with your Dad involved in its work. That is a very special memory.
Hope it’s something simple. Has it been working up till now?
LOL! Maybe it’s telling you that you should GET one. JS.....
Thanks for taking the quiz!
Howdy, Lucy! Thanks for taking the quiz! Nothing like having energy. I have mine on hold. I think I was born to be lazy. LOL!
I think I was born to be lazy.
's okay! Enjoy every minute. Our time is so short on this planet.
Yea the radio. Work it takes me twice as long to do anything. : (
Radio’s easy : )
Tell me about it. I finally retired and I want it to be as stress free as possible. LOL!
When we remember where you’ve come from, the fact that you ARE working is just about a miracle! Don’t push yourself too hard. It’ll come. You’re tough! :)
Dad’s work wasn’t allowed to be discussed for the most part because it was top secret but without details we knew he worked on several things for NASA. The Apollo program was one, the Space Shuttle was another. There’s a lot he did for the Air Force I’ll never know about.
But his love of all things “space”, due to his work with NASA, rubbed off on me and I’m still fascinated by it.
So yes, watching the moon landing is a very special memory.
Yes, the AC seemed to be working fine. It was set at 78 and that’s what the temperature was before he changed it. And during winter, the thermostat and house temp were in sync. He’s over there now and hasn’t come back grumbling yet so maybe things are ok now.
Good. No grumbling=good results. LOL!
I have a friend...a lady I worked with...who is married to a former engineer for NASA. They met in FL. Not sure what programs he worked on, but I am pretty sure the shuttle was one.
Your dad was a man to honor and be proud of for his work for America!
Your Drive is Colorful
You're the type of person who's going to take on the world, but you do it one day at a time. You are hard working. You are industrious with an amazing work ethic.
You have strong opinions about the way things should be done. You are very competent. You can accomplish almost anything you put your mind to. Slow and steady wins the race!
Howdy, EGC! (((hugs)))
That is an excellent result from the quiz and it really does sound like you!
Hope you and Gizmo had a nice drive today. How much longer is the heat warning going to be in effect?
We had a great drive in the country yesterday. We’re going to do another later today because we have a Heat Advisory once again in effect today.
I just took a break from events searching and went over to the other house. The AC’s still not working right. Hubby’s doing a little and sitting down for breaks a lot. At least he got all the nails and sheetrock debris cleaned up.
There are several folks around here who have done work for NASA and some who still do. I wish I’d inherited Dad’s smarts so I could have done something along those lines. Unfortunately, I got Mom’s not-as-smart brain. LOL
That’s ok. I still enjoy keeping up with various NASA projects and love following the different probes they’ve sent out. New Horizons - the one that flew by Pluto - was really a mind-blower.
