It is racist to deny charges of racism because as AOC said she’s never met a racist who admits he’s a racist. In short they get to define racism and racism now includes the incidental consequences of policies and procedures. Sexism and homophobia are also racism. Capitalism is racism. The system is racist.
But the people who obsess every day about race, they are not racists.
Racism has been completely redefined, expanded to include any and all kinds of bigotry (sexism, homophobia are racism) and now it also includes the incidental consequences of policies and law (e.g. the immigration system is racist), and now it includes opposing socialism (capitalism is racist) and even making a point using sarcasm if the target of your comment is a protected group (female muslim democrat congressperson).
Same is true of Nazism. It used to have one meaning. Now, Trump is a Nazi according to the new definition. It’s positively Orwellian. Freedom is Nazism, Socialism is Freedom.
