Yep... while this is a horrible IDEA.... the only constitutional question is can public moneys be directed to political campaigns... apparently the Washington Supreme Court says it can.

I don’t understand that, but then again, I don’t understand WA state either...

So couldn’t I go and fake-register 500 folks...get the four $25 vouchers each, then flip/sell them to some fake foundation (for 20-cents on the dollar) who’d flip them to special candidates?

To me, it does not seem hard to understand and can be summed up in a sentence. The dominant culture in Seattle is nuts, and both through influencing the weak-minded outside of Seattle and by politically dominating the state, they make life miserable for people living in relatively sane cultural enclaves outside of Seattle.

This seems simple, straight-forward, and self evident. Of course, I grew up sort of next door in rural Oregon, and if you substitute “Portland and Eugene” for Seattle, the sentence would apply to Oregon. I suspect that there are a large number of political entities of State/Provincial size that one merely need sub in the name of the largest one or two cities and the sentence becomes true.

Probably not.

But maybe you could run for office (or every elected office in the city) and promise to pay each person who gives you a voucher a 50% rebate. Then you get cash and they get cash and everyone (getting cash) is happy.

So.....

They take money from property owners and give that money to anybody who votes so they can give that money to politicians.

And the black robes in Washington don’t see anything wrong with it.

Taxes for roads......defense......public safety.....

Taxes for campaign funds......

And the black robes in Washington don’t see anything wrong with it.

My God.

Property owners and business are more likely to support conservative candidates. Property owners and business will be paying the tax which is then distributed to all registered voters. Thus we have created a slush fund for the liberal politicians paid for by mostly conservatives.

Presume the Courts didn’t find any Takings objection valid (not like the Legislature cares about RIGHTS anymore anyway).

Seems not only are all politics local, but so is the tyranny.

Of course they would uphold it. Step by step they are eliminating the opposition.

The only problem is that the Democrat Party is Finished, they just don't realize it yet.

Why is it finished? by the Democrat Party's own doing. The hordes from South and Central America along with the muslims that they are bringing in from everywhere will once they gain a plurality to a majority will select their own leaders and that will leave the Anglos out in the cold.

Oh , there may and will be some skirmishes between the factions to get things sorted out. The first round being the muslims, the Latins, and the Democrats. The final round will be between the Latins and muslims. The Democrats will be made short work of. They will be comprised of antifa, college and university students, some union members and a gaggle of idiots. The politicians, like the cowards they are will run for other State Lines.

I remember back when WA was the sane one and OR was where the near socialists lived. When the Berlin wall came down, we used to joke about buying it and putting it on the Columbia River. Sigh … the good old days.

If they can take tax money, distribute it and then let the taxpayer, sorry strike that, voter elect who gets it, why not do the same for everything? All the taxes are divvied up and each voter tells the government what he/she wants it to be spent on. That’d learn ‘em.

Don’t you just love how many creative ways politicians come up with to steal taxpayer monies?

which allows residents to contribute taxpayer money to qualifying political candidates<<

Allows?

Still sounds like theft from an owner.
