I think there was legitimacy to some civil rights issues, and anti-war protests.

Yeah, if you're a communist. Talk about "Russian interference in elections"...

All the social turmoil in the 60s was fomented by Soviet agents operating in the US.

Well, I’m sure there was plenty of meddling; but absent Soviet agitation, I doubt that Black people would have remained content under Jim Crow, or that there wouldn’t have been some objection to Viet Nam. I think women had some legitimate concerns, too.

Meddlers can’t ‘foment’ anything unless WE first give them a foot in the door through our own failings - and we do have, and have had, some of those throughout our history.
