FW is so much nicer than Dallas
Yes.
The homeless should pitch a camp in his front yard.
I agree!
“The first castle sank into the swamp. So I built another and that also sank into the swamp. I built another and that one fell over, but the fourth time....”
(Holy Grail reference)
They were primarily setting up their encampments around the City Hall. So the city clowncil banned camping on city hall property. That's still in effect so these new tent cities will never blight the gilded environs of the supreme and exhalted leaders at Austin City Hall
Theyshould camp on the sidewalks outside of councilmembers homes.
like most major US cites, Austin has a 'homeless' problem - it's just that the city passed an ordinance that encourages camping in public spaces. Until you can get the drug and alcohol problem under control, this will never change. Compere the fetid squalor of today's 'camps' to those of the 1930s - a time of true poverty....
Good idea. I’d take it a step further (if I were wealthy) and put group homes for the homeless in the neighborhoods of the city council members, esp. the mayor’s.
Yes, it is!!!!!!!! Was walking on East Exchange in front of the Stockyard on the way to Fincher’s and couple of ladies were coming toward me. One held her arms out and ran to give me a hug, saying “A real cowboy.” LOL!
The people as a whole are a lot more friendly in FW!!!
May make that a stop in my wanderings.
