Pro 26:4 Answer NOT a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. Pro 26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. But there is more to it. Which one should we do? Head ache time...................................

Taken together, these verses teach the appropriate way to answer a fool. They should not be answered with agreement to their own ideas, or they will think they are right, but rather they should be rebuked on the basis of their folly and shown the truth so they can see how foolish they are.
