As a fellow American and a fellow human being - let some of the younger blood handle things and enjoy what’s left of your life. There’s more to life than DC politics.
Nancy can’t retire. She’s another power hungry, narcissistic lifetime politician. It’s all they know. It consumes them.

My experience with elderly people in the business world is that those in positions of power will hold onto them until they die at their desk. They identify not as a man, but as the job they hold. They hang on until they are a detriment and cause chaos. If they give up their prestige job they will feel as though they will die. In most cases that’s true. I dealt with a corporate director who had dementia so bad that his wife would drive him to work and walk him to his office. Several times he got lost in his work area and could not find his office, despite it being in sight. After they finally laid him off he died shortly afterwards.
Believe me, if Nancy were unable to be the Speaker, she would feel as though she was dead. Then, she would probably die. Like Strom Thurmond, she will hang on until the last possible moment. She will leave the building on a stretcher.

She’s not “a fellow American”. She’s a liberal democrat.
They’re two completely different things.

Personally, I hope she’s miserable for every minute of whatever remains of it. It’s just rewards for all the misery her and her party have caused the American people.
Nancy will be 80 in March. Time to put her on Xanax and stick her in the day room watching “Matlock’’ reruns. Seriously.

Holding, wielding, exercising US Federal Power. Ted Kennedy and John McCain died holding the lightning. You can bet that Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Nancy Pelosi want to do the same.

She can't retire. As long as she's Speaker, she's effectively immune from legal issues. But the moment she becomes a private citizen, and no longer wields power, I would imagine a lot of people will be looking into her past corrupt activities.
As the old saying goes, the problem with riding the tiger, is surviving getting off.
