President Trump is considering replacing Dan Coats as director of national intelligence and is holding informal meetings with potential candidates, national security sources told Fox News.
Sources told Fox News that Trump spoke to two people in the past week about the job. Among the candidates he is considering are Gen. Joseph Dunford, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Fred Fleitz, who previously served as chief of staff to National Security Adviser John Bolton.

Coats was another clunker appointment.
He angered Trump when he appeared to criticize the president’s relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin during an on-stage interview with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell at last year’s Aspen Security Forum.
He drew Trump’s ire again in January when he told a Senate panel that North Korea was unlikely to give up its nuclear weapons, contradicting the president’s cheerier assessments.

I remember an op-ed written by a stealth Deep Stater, who wrote it anonymously.
It was a scathing article telling “us” the people that there were those in the Administration who were looking out for them and not to worry because they were working against President Trump.
I have always thought that the Betrayer was Dan Coats.
