A few more details from the Arizona Republic:

"Susan Marie, the commerce authority's executive vice president of strategy, confirmed to The Arizona Republic on Thursday that the incentive has not been reinstated.

"Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord had stood her ground last week, saying she appreciated the "emotion" on all sides of the debate but intended to honor the city's deal with Nike.

"The City Council approved a jobs creation agreement with the shoe company on July 1. The city offered to waive about $1 million in plan review and permit fees and reimburse the company up to another $1 million for the number of jobs created."

Ducey extends welcome to Nike after company says it's still building Goodyear plant

One of the best examples was Giuliani rejecting bribes from Saudi Arabia over the 9/11 attacks. Basically, we’re not taking money from the attackers!

Then good ol Sheila Jackson-Lee or whatever moronic black wench jumped in and said we’ll take it!

He never should have gone there in the first place. That was his real mistake.

So it sounds like Ducey pulled the state incentives then, when Goodyear made it clear that it was going to honor the incentives the town was offering and Nike was still planning to build, Ducey (without re-instating the state incentives) decided to make nice and welcome them.

Look up “politician” and you’ll get cross- references to “liar”

He should change the spelling of his name to Douchey.

Wrong. It was a pointless gesture in the first place that would accomplish nothing except deprive citizens of his state jobs. AZ loss would have been another state’s gain and that’s not why Governors are elected.

Next time he needs to think with his head instead of his balls.

Doug Ducey (W) reversed his stance.

The "W" stands for wobbly.

No need to run for anything again, Doug, ol' squish.

Fake news. It doesn’t say he is giving them back the incentives.

Where does it say that Ducey has reversed his stance with Nike?

LOL. Hugh Hewitt was so enamored of this guy that he sounded sexually aroused. Turns out Ducey is just another gop pantywaist.

The fact Obama could arbitrarily remove the citizen question without anyone calling him out while Trump can't restore it leads me to believe all hope may be lost.

It's getting harder and harder to be hopeful and optimistic.

I don't want to be a nihilist but it may be the only remaining option.

I thought the DNC was dying. I was wrong. The GOP is what is already dead and what is rising is the Zombie Party morphing DNC and the GOP corpse. I also believe that a majority of all elected officials in this country are blackmailed or corrupt to the core. I am increasingly losing hope in any process beyond a civil war.
