To: Pearls Before Swine

I have to give President Trump credit for working around both parties’ refusal to fix the asylum laws.

The GOP controlled both houses for the first two years and refused to secure the border or fix the laws.

We have to elect better Republicans.

I don’t fault Trump for taking the long road to get at least some of what’s needed done, even if its a convoluted way to go.

I’m just saying it would be better if he didn’t have to; if politics stopped at the border, so to speak. As it used to.

Agreed, although to be fair, we didn’t have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. Of course if Mitch had stepped up to the plate and changed the rules, it wouldn’t have mattered.
