Washington (CNN)A Republican running for governor in Mississippi denied a female reporter's request to accompany him on a campaign trip unless she brought along a male colleague, insisting Wednesday that he did so because he "just wanted to keep things professional."

Damned smart play.
Exactly. You can't trust the propaganda wing of the RAT party.
If you’re a republican anything, never give them a plausible opportunity to say something happened while you were alone.
Even then, they’ll still just say something happened 30 years ago so the media mafia can pounce
Inevitable.
I encourage all Mississippians to hook up with him on Twitter if you haven’t done so yet. One of the good guys.

CNN Why the need to lead with a lie?
The man never denied the female reporter access.
You wonder why you are called fake news..
find it on #NoMoreDenialOf RightsToMen or on #NoFemalesNoLawsuitsLater
((Both imaginary. Only women get real life hashtag feminist rights. Men are guilty unless proven innocent))
“I remember 21 years ago the candidate glanced up from his pile of government papers and for a half second looked at me and I knew inside my mind it was a sexually significant leer even though he before or later on never spoke to me at any time. I felt vulnerable and unsafe near that man after that.”
Guilty.
This sounds like a modified version of Mike Pence rule of never dining alone with a woman not his wife. He was widely mocked for this, but he has not been subjected to salacious charges that so many other have. This also like the debate about meeting alone in a business setting with a member of the opposite sex where anything can be alleged because there are no third party witnesses.
Jeez - no wonder he’s trying to ditch her.
I believe Vice President Pence practices the same scenario. Whenever there is a female reporter, he ensures there is a male present and does not allow himself to be alone with any woman other than his wife. SMART Move!
Billy Graham did the same thing, for the same reason, and it worked well.
Agreed...smart move. CNN and it’s ilk made these rules necessary and now they can live with them.
We all know, he would have at least made a pass at her or make her uncomfortable........
Yep. Her response here proves the wisdom of his decision.
Half the people will hold this against him.
Half the people will realize that he is making the smart move.
He was never going to get the votes of the first half, anyway.
If that's her picture on the linked story, she has sexualized herself. The make up, the long flowing hair, the low neckline... female reporters always, always, always use their sexuality to further their careers. Men sit next to them in suits and ties, shirts buttoned to the collar, and the women are in blouses opened down to there, and sleeveless dresses... when news outlets stop dressing their female reporters like cocktail hostess in nightclubs, then talk to me about how women are being sexualized by a man not wanting to be alone with them.
Foster is a brilliant(very high IQ)and honest young man that has ventured into the salacious world of politics and is doing what he has to survive the malicious attacks that are forthcoming. I don’t expect him to win this round but do see him moving up significantly within the next four years. Keep your eye on him as he has integrity and intelligence.
The plot thickens—a search for Larrison Campbell turns up a New York Times story on her civil union to another woman . . .
