He doesn’t. This is purely a matter for the Executive branch; the Constitution gives zero power to the Judicial branch over the census.

At some point, some President is going to need to put his foot down and tell the Judicial branch to mind its own business, though that would instigate a “Constitutional crisis”, since the SC has been getting away with pretending it is a superior rather than co-equal branch for so long. If Trump isn’t the one that has the stones to do it, I don’t know who will be.

Agree, they are usurping the powers of the chief executive and interfering with his ability to do the job the American people elected him to do. This judicial obstruction is purely partisan, as is all the legislating from the bench which is done by unelected politicians in black robes.

Enough is enough.
