How can the govt “buy back” guns it never owned?

Call it what it is: compensated confiscation.

...authorities have still written to every registered firearm owner

^ THIS.

For all the sycophants calling for common sense gun registration, this is the end result. The government now has your address and use it for confiscation.

stricter gun laws to include “a mandatory gun register, records of all ammunition sales, and requiring owners of those semiautomatics that remain legal to permanently disable their guns.”

Forge your swords into boat anchors!

Never participate in any registration.

It always leads to confiscation.

My weapons are mine. I determine their value. As for my price, the Government doesn’t have that much money.

NZ national police chief is already hinting at violent confiscations after the “amnesty” expires.

When the police lose the trust of the citizenry and become seen as jackbooted enemies of the people, then their safety is no longer guaranteed.

Watch for widespread doxxing of officers.

“gun reform” What is the difference between the government confiscating this type of property and the communist confiscating property during their take overs? None.

Uh, gee....did I send you an article?

Anyway, we’re not close to the situation the Kiwis, Brits & Canucks are in, where parliamentary government is a kind of majority dictatorship where whatever the PM wants, s(he) gets.

But the Demokrat Klown Kar 26 are lockstep fascist about confiscating guns if they get their way, and the “Trump Slump” in gun sales is completely over. People are scared once again including me.

Taking away your ability to protect yourself is “gun reform”. Orwell would be proud.
