I don’t know that he made a distinction between the terms, or if he even used them. He might have, but I don’t recall it if he did.
Russell Kirk was far more concerned with America’s culture than many, if not most, Republicans are today. Kirk was what some now call a “trad con”, a traditional conservative.
Kirk saw America as a continuation of the British culture, but modified by the colonial experience where they learned to rule themselves.
Our current GOP establishment would replace America’s culture with the 3rd world’s culture if they got a good enough offer. They see no value in our history or our native culture and that’s why they will cheer as a Nikki Haley joins the Left in erasing it.
It was the Neocon (Trotskist) who did the usurping after WWII, making the party globalist.
The RNC had tariffs as a perennial plank in the party platform before that usurpation.
Sure it is, I am Christian first and the scriptures make it very clear on two things:
My true citizenship is in heaven.
All nations will oppose God in the end times.
I am a patriot, but I am willing to oppose my country if my country becomes or does something evil.
