I have been tossing this around in my mind after seeing a number of “this is all about getting something on Trump” on many threads, and even though I am keeping it in consideration, I hadn’t accepted it as likely, except for two things that keep surfacing in my thoughts:

First, Leftists are notoriously inept at thinking things through.

Second, their inability to be rational when they are angry and frustrated is legendary.

When I thought about it initially, I thought “No, they would never be stupid enough to try this, the risk of setting themselves afire is just too great to try it.”

It is so fraught with danger with so many powerful and influential Leftists that they HAVE to know they shouldn’t do it.

But what if they DO know? What if the incipient Trump Derangement Syndrome in even the most casual Leftist is so powerful in them (never mind the full-blown barking moonbats who would happily pour gas on themselves for nearly any Leftist cause) that they are willing to immolate themselves if they can even have a tenth of one percent chance of getting a single drop of blazing gasoline on Trump?

The more I think of it, the more I can imagine them taking this plane off the ground with only enough fuel to get to the “target”, and shoving the stick over in a terminal dive, even if they are likely to get blown to smithereens long before they hit the target.

I have come to conclude nearly all of them are mentally disturbed, if not actually mentally ill. The more I think of it, the less unlikely that far-fetched scenario seems.

I think that is unlikely. Witness the concerted effort that has been underway to tie this to Trump and minimize Democrat affiliations. Apparently even the Wikipedia page was edited over the weekend to remove the names of Democrats.

I don’t know if it’s coincidence or conspiracy - but if you want to think it’s a plot then I’d suggest it is more likely a plot by Trump allies than Trump enemies. Trump knew the guy yes, and Acosta is blemished. But, Trump can take a few hits early (like in the Russia hoax) knowing he will be cleared in the end especially if it ends in the destruction of his enemies. The number of people who may be impacted by this is quite large and it includes the Clintons, Mueller, and who know how many others. And, Art of War style, if some prominent Democrats are implicated (or rendered lame) that aggravates the Dems and takes some of the wind out of their sails.
