U.S. President Donald Trump attacked Prime Minister Theresa May and her ambassador to Washington on Monday while Britain voiced regret for a leak of confidential memos in which the diplomat called Trump's administration "dysfunctional" and "inept."
The memos from Kim Darroch, ambassador to Washington, were divulged to a Sunday newspaper, annoying Trump and embarrassing London.
"Contact has been made with the Trump administration, setting out our view that we believe the leak is unacceptable," May's spokesman told reporters. "It is, of course, a matter of regret that this has happened."
Trump responded on Twitter by criticizing May's handling of Brexit and saying she disregarded his advice.

The Cardinal Rule of being an ambassador is to be diplomatic.
Those quotes from Sir Kim, shot gaping holes in his diplomacy. Maybe he spoke in confidence, but it’s not the first time Kim has publicly said things putting down this president.

This is complete and total horseshit! Cables/communiques from an ambassador - of any country, are very sensitive and highly classified, but especially when they contain opinions and observations regarding foreign leaders. This was no accident.
Furthermore, any ambassador who did this without the support of his/her government would be immediately recalled and replaced as a GENUINE sign of apology and regret. Lacking official action by the British government, the Trump administration should send Darroch’s ass packing.

Then, our Ambassador will escort Mr Robinson to Heath-row for a safe trip to the USA.
