A number of Democrats running for president are turning to beer to appeal to voters, hoping to boost their populist credentials and stand out in a large field of over 20 candidates.
Candidates such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) have livestreamed themselves on Instagram having a beer and former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper regularly refers back to his past work as a brewer.
Hold on a sec, Im gonna get me a beer, Warren announced in a New Year's Instagram story, before taking a hearty swig on camera.
Hickenlooper, who co-founded Denvers Wynkoop Brewing, touted his work in a fundraising email shortly before the first 2020 Democratic debates.
"I'll be the first geologist and brewer on the presidential debate stage, Hickenlooper wrote.
Beer and politics have long gone together, according to experts, and the question "would you have beer with that candidate?" is seen as an important test of likability.

Apparently Democrats understand their base has to be drunk to vote for them.
Dont they mean cerveza?
Firewater not good for fork-tongued irrationals. Witness history .
How do we notice the difference?
Did that beer Fauxcahontas cracked open have a .1024% alcohol content?
Hickenlooper was always just a glorified bartender. He stuck gold in the 90’s by owning the only cool restraunt/brewery in the pre-days of the Lodo development. The local rags made him somewhat famous and, I presume, it went to his head. Some nitwit(s) lead him to believe he should get into politics. Anyway, he’s served me a few beers and that’s how I’ll remember him after this nonsense ends.
"Hold on a sec, Im gonna git me abeerhuntin' license."
I’d belly up to the bar with Bernie for a couple shots of Geritol anytime.
SO THEY FINALLY FOUND THIER CONNECTION TO “THE PEOPLE”
btt
Copying Obama, is all.
Who says that beer is appealing to voters. You can bet that most will drink and not give a damn about the Dems issues and will do nothing about it.
The funds and “fuel” that drove the development of the early democrat party-— is from the “Tavern” democrats (one of the reasons for “blue” laws on election days, still on the books— was the operative democrats, or whatever— could buy a vote at the tavern, with 5 or 6 drinks or “demijohns” of take home beer or whiskey— different versions of this today, expanded to the welfare state pay to play, and frankly IMHO, cocaine/heroin and the illegal immigrant wave and their lawyers/firms skimming drug money to the democrat, and more than a few RINOS in Congress, and fedgov agencies. (No proof, but high suspicions. The list is easily composed. Start with bartender/marxist mouthpiece Occasional Cortex). It was everywhere North and South.
While the democratic party supposedly traces its origins to Thomas Jefferson and Anti-federalists (which today would be called, not the RINOs, but true Conservatives small government, 10th Amendment etc.) it was really founded during the rise of Andrew Jackson in the late 1820s. After the Civil War, it found its strongest supporters in the South (in the case of anti-federalists in re: States Rights, slavery and major economic war being waged through Reconstruction by the Federal Govt/Presidency (and they impeached Southerner Andrew Johnson because he tried to preserve Lincoln’s plan of Reconstruction and stop the radical inheritor’s machinations- the radical republicans)
The Beer Hall Putsch that failed in Munich was a LABOR based Socialist Laborite BEER drinking organizing of the “TAVERN/beerhall social democrats” against the surging Communist Laborite Leftists. It was German “democratic” revolt. Merkel is/was such a “democrat” world socialist.
“Gimme a shot of Geritol, and a vodka straight chaser”... “and none of that wheat crap vodka— gimme Potato vodka”.
