Soros, Koch brothers advance Iran lobby in new Washington think tank

Soros, Koch brothers advance Iran lobby in new Washington think tank JUL 2, 2019 1:30 PM BY CHRISTINE DOUGLASS-WILLIAMS

Don’t be fooled by the noble semantics carefully chosen to name a new “think tank” just launched in Washington: “The Quincy Institute for Responsible Statescraft.” The venture is funded by George Soros and the Koch Brothers in partnership with Trita Parsi, founder of the “Iran Lobby front group, NIAC (National Iranian American Council).”

A sneak preview of the new Institute: Parsi has praised Iran for pursuing “more moderate policies” in the 90’s while advising that Washington needs a “de-Israelization.” Kenneth R. Timmerman, Executive Director for the Foundation of Democracy in Iran, once described Trita Parsi as “The Mullahs’ Voice” and Iran’s “unofficial spokesman in Washington who can talk circles around their official ambassadors.”

And not only in Washington.

In 2011, the Canadian International Council sponsored an event in Ottawa called “Iran in Context: Global and Regional Implications” ostensibly to focus on “political and security issues,” where Trita Parsi was invited to speak. Even more alarming is that only a month and a half ago, Parsi was invited to give testimony at a Subcommittee on Human Rights in the Canadian Parliament; it was only because of a massive “pressure campaign by pro-sanctions activists and lobby groups, including organizations affiliated with Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK)” that Parsi was cancelled by Liberal Member of Parliament Anita Vandenbeld, the Chair of the Subcommittee.

Canadian Iranian Liberal MP Majid Jowhari has also long sought for Canada’s reopening of “diplomatic” ties with Iran, a goal certain to be supported by the The Quincy Institute for Responsible Statescraft with its utopian vision of international peace, despite Iran’s blatant threat to world peace, its oppressive reputation and expansionary jihadist ambitions. Less than two weeks ago, the Iranian proxy Hizballah was discovered to be expanding its operations in Canada and collecting detailed information about Toronto’s Pearson airport.

The new “think tank” The Quincy Institute for Responsible Statescraft is bad news, but is being praised in respectable circles, and “the real shocker” is “that the Charles Koch Foundation would team up with George Soros and his overtly anti-American, anti-national sovereignty-of-any-kind.” The Iran lobby institute is shaping up to be an influential force continent-wide. It will also relentlessly aim to undermine the Trump Administration. As the author of the article below, Clare Lopez, notes:

Our sixth president is no doubt rolling over in his grave.

“Koch Brothers Team Up With Soros to Fund the Iran Lobby,” by Clare Lopez, Center for Security Policy, July 1, 2019:

For any who might have wondered what Trita Parsi, founder of the Iran Lobby front group, NIAC (National Iranian American Council), would do after he stepped down from leadership there last year, wonder no more.

According to a 30 June 2019 report in the Boston Globe, Parsi—perhaps the best agent of influence the Tehran regime has ever had in the U.S.—will shortly be on the receiving end of millions of dollars in largesse from the Koch brothers and George Soros. They’ve all teamed up to establish a new think tank in Washington, D.C., called the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. Named after America’s sixth president, the Quincy Institute heads up its website with a quote from Quincy’s 1821 Independence Day speech: “America goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy.” The Quincy homepage goes on to declare that U.S. foreign policy “has become detached from any defensible conception of U.S. interests and from a decent respect for the rights and dignity of humankind” and to lambaste “much of the foreign policy community in Washington” which it says “has succumbed to intellectual lethargy and dysfunction.”

And with that opening salvo, the Quincy Institute asserts that it will “lay the foundation for a new foreign policy centered on diplomatic engagement and military restraint.” Given its NIAC connections, that probably means the new think tank will be lobbying on behalf of Iran’s mullahs and IRGC thugs for relief from the Trump administration’s tough new sanctions policy of ‘maximum pressure.’ That and to preserve any remaining tatters of the Iran nuclear deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), from which the U.S. withdrew in May 2018. After all, it would be so much easier for the Iranian regime to continue its drive for deliverable nuclear weapons without quite so much attention.

The real shocker is that the Charles Koch Foundation would team up with George Soros and his overtly anti-American, anti-national sovereignty-of-any-kind, Open Society Foundation that reportedly pledged $500 million in 2017 to partner with Mastercard in ways that would help fund hordes of illegal border crashers assaulting the U.S. southern border and others elsewhere in the Western world. Thus far, per the Boston Globe, Soros’ Open Society Foundation and the Charles Koch Foundation “have each contributed half a million dollars” to get the Quincy Institute launched.

Stay tuned for a full-on assault against Trump administration.

Makes me wonder if Gyorgy and The Brothers got some palletized money recently.

So how does one determine when "shrewd investing" is a euphemism for money laundering?

Soros has been funding the left while the Kochs have been funding the Cheap Labor Express which owns most of the Bush League Republican Senators.

“Our” leaders, excluding Trump, have not been on the side of the citizens and the rule of law for 30 years.

Unless we get a party to represent US in Congress, they will get that final amnesty and subsume the USA to the UN and make US into North Mexico.

It is brutally hard to kick someone in the house or senate out during the primaries.

For a number of reasons you already know.

And we would have to beat MANY in the primaries.

And THEN they would have to defeat the dem.

I’m not saying it can’t be done, but somebody with a LOT more power and money and smarts than me needs to get it organized.

More than him. Plenty of enablers around. Instead of one sniper, think more on the level of Michael Corleone’s son’s christening....

Why does it always have to be something WORSE than what is going on right now?!?!

But you’re ONTO something!!

Scare the general public (ignorant and don’t read) with ebola and other diseases!!

When it comes to DIRECT death threats against their children they will want the border closed.

Truth is it’s VERY difficult for ebola to spread in a developed country where touching the corpse a million times with no gloves on is part of the death ceremony.

EVIL SPIRITS are causing ebola, they think.

SMH
