I was conflicted about whether I wanted the US team to win or not.
It's not just America-hating Rapinoe. It's how the team members, coaches, league, sponsors and broadcasters yield to her using a US team as a leftist soapbox. Why can't they giver her a figurative "red card" for undermining the team and hating the fine Country that she should be proud to represent? Since the team et. al. puts up with it, they are in a sense, abetting, are they not?
That said, and after further review, I can't root against my Country, that would make me a Democrat.

Agree totally. Rooting for the team not individuals. Also I believe Soccer USA the governing body should step in when the WWC is completed and tell the the team that no signs of disrespect towards the President whom ever it is, will be tolerated and to stop talking your personal politics while wearing the red white and blue, it also will not be tolerated.
