Rep. John Ratcliffe Says FISA Abuse Investigation Is Complete
Daily Caller ^ | 7/1/2019 | chuck ross

Texas Republican Rep. John Ratcliffe said Monday that the Justice Department inspector general has finished his investigation into whether the FBI abused the surveillance court system during its investigation of the Trump campaign.

In an interview on Fox News, Ratcliffe said that he met in June with the inspector general, Michael Horowitz, to discuss the timing, but not the content, of the release of the report.

“He related that his team’s investigative work is complete,” said Ratcliffe, a Republican member of the House Intelligence and House Judiciary Committees.

“They are now in the process of drafting the report. I would expect that it will be a draft that will be completed in short order.”

Ratcliffe said that he does not expect that the report will be made public “any time real soon,” though he is hopeful it will be released before Congress breaks for its August recess.

Trump is very shrewd, and again, you make good sense.

So many here do not understand the timing of all this is critical. Jump the gun and lose the race.

The timing has to be optimized for the 2020 election.

Should not and pure speculation.

LOL....

Don’t you just love the passion and the political urgency in the Republican Party?

Re: Horowitz is a WEAK MAN!

I disagree.

Horowitz is an Obama appointee who was retained by Donald Trump.

U.S. Attorney John Huber - special assistant to Horowitz - was also an Obama appointee and was also retained by Donald Trump.

Let me guess. It needs to be reviewed by the FBI, NSA, CIA, DOJ, and DNC before it can be released?

Close. It has to be reviewed by DOJ and FBI first. That should take a year or two I would guess.

Re: I’m sure this strategy was already in place in 2017 because Trump knew he’d have at least 50 Republican incumbents retire in 2018.

The Democrats beat 31 incumbent GOP Congressmen in 2018, which was enough to give the Democrats a House majority.

As for the Senate, the GOP was the beneficiary of blind statistical luck....

We did not win one Senate seat in a state that voted for Clinton.

We actually lost a Senate seat in Arizona, which voted for Trump.

Great. Another report. The lies and spins will be off the charts again, and nothing will be done. Pathetic. The only people who pay are regular citizens.

If the climax doesn’t come until October 2020, no indictments will come until after the election. Which means, should Trump be defeated, that absolutely nothing will be done, the guilty will walk free, and the left’s narrative will harden into the accepted historical account. I want heads on spikes long before that. At least force the next democrat president to go on record pardoning convicted criminals.

“Need to get closer to the election or it will be forgotten and covered up like it never happened.”

Do it NOW! This will bring Hillary back to the forefront, take all the oxygen away from the left and force the media into switching the narrative. While that happens, start all the deportations, destroy Antifa and continue with tariffs.

It takes a while to get just the right shade of white wash.

Bingo. Anyone with any hopes of Democrats and the corrupt FBI Leadership under Comey and previously Mueller being held accountable for their actions, well let me dash those hopes right there.

There's just no way one of this country's top law enforcement agencies is going to be held accountable for their actions. It's just never, ever going to happen. That would blow the lid off what many of us here on FR have long said and believed to be true, that there's two sets of laws in this country: one of the political elites, and one for the rest of us.

No way the District of Corruption will ever allow that belief to become anything close to proven truth.

Not. Gonna. Happen. (As much as I wish it would.)

I think there may be a method to this madness and roller coaster. This bombshell could be better served if it was dropped later when it is R party vs D Party, right now it is just D vs D primaries. If done before the general might implicate just a few selective Dems, but if done during the general it will implicate the whole party.

Nope. Not happening. Also would backfire if that late in an election cycle.

Either ignore the summons(do they have ‘proof’ you received it?) or show up professing ‘juror rights’.

This is absolutely the wrong tactic. Show up and participate in jury duty. Make the government prove it's case or vote for acquittal. Do not take the word of any government official (which includes police) at face value. Decide for yourself if the law in question is Constitutional or not. If not vote for acquittal. You have more power as a member of a jury than any other time in your life.

Yeah, they’ll get to it. Oh, and it may not be released to the public. I’ve seen that movie too.

So, second verse, same as the first....

Break out the bag pipes....
