She "won" the battle, only because Biden was so compromised by his own support for the social engineers, that he was unable to rationally address what Miss Harris was actually advocating, from her "wise?" perspective as a small child, once upon a time. Biden--if he had the principles or the sense--could have utterly destroyed her childish argument!

(She was too out of logic to realize that her own busing adventure was a total insult to her, as an individual. She did not realize the obvious implications!)

Right. Her use of busing as an issue did not make sense, unless you buy into the liberals' reasoning that busing is good and supporting it makes you virtuous. Why is it supposed to be good? Is the idea that black kids can't learn as well unless they are sitting next to white kids? Or to ensure that white kids don't grow up with prejudices against black people?

As far as prejudice goes, I doubt that works. If white kids know about black people only from TV programs and commercials, they may have a better opinion of them than from knowing real-life individuals.
