Outgoing White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is reportedly planning to write a book about her time in the Trump administration.

Axios reported that Sanders, whose left the White House on Friday, plans to move back to her native Arkansas and relax for the month of July with her family before she begins working on her book and likely hitting the speaking circuit.

The outlet added that Sanders is reportedly mulling a 2022 run for Arkansas governor.

Trump suggested Sanders could run for the governorship when he announced her resignation last month. Sanders is reportedly seriously considering campaigning for the position, currently held by Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) who must exit the office due to term limits in 2022.

In the meantime, Sanders will help with Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign, according to Axios

Sanders tweeted Friday that it had been “the honor and privilege of a lifetime” to work with Trump, writing that she was leaving the White House “with my head held high.”

She did a heck of a job as Press Secretary. Any thoughts on why she left?

Trump likes to move people in and out to reflect changes of direction with his administration, almost like a baseball manager strategically changing pitchers throughout the game to adjust to changing game situations. There is some speculation that Sarah leaving may reflect an imminent offensive on some front by POTUS. In the past, personnel change have sometimes portended some aggressive actions on Trump’s part (e.g. Whitaker as acting AG, Scaramucci as WH Communications Director, both tenures coinciding with brief but consequential periods in the Trump administration.)

“because she has a husband and three children?”

Agreed. That seems like the most likely reason.
