These people are NEVER going to be civilized.

President Trump, please bring everyone home now—no more dead Americans. Feel free to nuke everything and everyone on the way out.

If you have an attic with 20 rats who all look the same and 10 of them are destructive and diseased while the other 10 are kind and cause no problem, do you target the 10 causing the issues, or wipe them all out? This is how we should treat Afghanistan. Wipe Every Afghanistan off the face of the earth. It’s a country that only causes problems and will not amount to anything positive in the world. Will not be missed and put a huge dent in heroin production

Its a major election year in Afghanistan - every five years they vote for the top of the Government.

Asraf Ghani has been a good technocratic leader, but Afghans are world-class tough as nails people, who are generally just not afraid to fight.

Its a very tough job to pacify the population there, and establish security. It may take a generation for society to stabilize, after the effects of the Communist takeover, Soviet Invasion, Civil War, mass emigration, the “Mad Max” period of of no effective central government, and the medieval Taliban period. Arguably, no other society on Earth suffered greater stress than Afghanistan over that long period.

I gotta hand it to the people who work for the Afghan government, especially the civilian employees. It’s a dangerous job. They’re probably armed as a precaution, but unlikely to have had much training either individually or as a group. I expect the Taliban made short work of them.
