If you think the night of the Trump win was a sweet rejection of the left, you should have been around the night Nixon slaughtered McGovern in 72. It was wonderful.
The night Reagan beat Carter in 1980 was sweet, but his landslide reelection in 1984 was not a surprise.
I think the Donald will landslide in 2020 picking up a few more states. The Dems are betting everything on the idea that Obama’s coalition of blacks, browns, females, millennials comprise a winning coalition. Actually, I think their coalition is shrinking.
Obama was a particularly good liar. The current crop of Dems? Not so much.
Oh I was around around and voted for both Nixon and Reagan, the wins were truly wonderful.
I also voted for Barry Goldwater in the primary and general election, it was a sad day when that crook Johnson beat him.
I agree that President Trump will be reelected, hoping for a landslide but I’ll take a win even if it’s a squeaker. :^)

It won’t be as big of a electoral college win as Nixon in 72 because California and other socialist utopias were more conservative in those days. But a win is a win.
