Electromagnetic propulsion is not a whack concept. Wasn’t that what they were shooting for with the Philadelphia experiment, and that was ‘43! Doesn’t mean it did what it was supposed too, but I definitely can understand researching it.
Electromagnetic propulsion was one of the sub-topics (no pun intended) in the flick, “The Hunt for Red October”. Red October supposedly had that type propulsion system.
