This blaming society nonsense has to end...
These people have mental disorders that manifest themselves in their behaviors... As such they are always going to have higher suicide rates than the general population (just like all people with mental illness do).
It doesn’t matter how OPEN or ACCEPTING a society is of these behaviors, they ALWAYS have higher suicide rates, because people with mental illness are more likely to commit suicide... PERIOD.
This lie has to stop! Society and its acceptance or rejection of sexual behaviors does not influence suicide rates of these individuals.
I read the story of a college boy that wanted to be a girl. He had full acceptance by his family, friend, school, therapists and even his church (he met with the pastor often for counseling.)
He ended up killing himself. He wrote that he realized that he would never be the perfect woman he wanted to be. (I was telling my son this story and he said “No woman is either!”)
The boy’s mom said how he was always the perfectionist in everything he did.
Bingo! And when is the last time anyone has made this statement in any kind of debate or discussion? NEVER...it is the fact that must not be mentioned.
