the current Palestinian leadership depends on the misery of their people to legitimize their political stance that allows them to enrich themselves.
Any policy that actually relieved the misery in Gaza or Judea or Samaria would delegitimize Hamas and Abbas.
Until the Palestinians rise up - not against the Israelis but against their own corrupt leaders - will the material well-being of the Palestinians improve.
The money is there and always has been. It’s fewer than 5 million people we’re talking about. If they really, believably said they wanted peace with Israel but wanted infrastructure and cash to make the people’s lives better it would be forthcoming - globally and from the Arab countries and from the Israelis, too.
But not until they stop being terrorists.
There is a crucial factor in any equation for peace in the Mideast: the religious-based hatred of radical Islam for anything Jewish. Add to that the Islamic tenet making lying to help the cause of Islam a moral act.
If you don’t consider that in every proposal then you are wasting your time.
None of our politicians have ever faced that brutal reality, probably because they’re scared of the only feasible solution.

Yeah it’s a win win. They accept the offer and we’re done with this whole sorrid affair or they reject it, Israel annexes Area C and we’re done with it.
It is an incredibly stupid plan which has zero chance of succeeding because it ignores the underlying issues of the Palestinians wanting a state and Israel not wanting to give them one, and Israel wanting to continue existing while the Palestinians want them gone. All the money in the world isn’t going to resolve that problem.
