union filed a friend of the court brief Wednesday. Things to note: 1. WaPo suggests it could be in response to Ken Cuccinelli's memo to staff questioning why so many initial screening approvals (which get hearings) when so many are ultimately denied (overburdening courts); 2. 144,000 crossed in May - that is, the counted ones - more got away; 3. In essence, they're asking the USA to declare Messico a dangerous and lawless nation; 4. the tired and worn claim the MPP policy that the US and Mexico are joint-venturing is 'unnecessary' because the system 'is not broken'; and, 5. the curious comment that asylum officers could 'handle cases quicker' (if they could just approve everyone?) if they didn't send ppl back to Messico. And WW2 got mixed in there somewhere.

So it is the UNITED STATES that is threatening their lives, not THEIR decision to illegally enter the US? Right.
144k crossed last month and were nabbed, the largest number in a DECADE. This must be the world’s longest-running “crisis” after the Middle East.

Justice Department lawyers have said in court filings that migrant families are filing thousands of sham claims because they virtually guarantee their release into the United States pending a hearing in the backlogged immigration courts. Overrunning the system, this IS the plan, as designed by Cloward and Piven

And we send soldiers to defend the borders of middle eastern countries.
Heck, were still defending the South Korean border ! Why are everyone elses borders so important that we must die to protect them?

So Mexico and America being different countries is a problem for them. Is there ANYTHING people won’t do to get out of WORK!

I think the law must be followed and in this case it seems the Admin is acting well within the law. Ifba rougue four should finally decide AGAINST this control on the border it needs to be heard IMMEDIATELY by the USSC.
In the end the first duty of the CIC is to PROTECT the nation and secure our borders. If this means defying what imo is a rougue court than Trump should do just that? If doing this endangers his re-election then so be it. I cannot respect a man who places himself before the country but I will greatly admire a man who does the opposite.

U.S. asylum officers say Trumps Remain in Mexico policy is threatening migrants lives So?
These are foreigners we are talking about here. We don't care what they do if they aren't within our borders, as long as they do not attack our borders. If they attack our borders they should be shot.

I don’t get it.
If you try to break into my house, climbing in the window and then fall, breaking your neck.... why is it MY fault?

You probably didn’t close your curtains and let me see all the fine things in your house that I wanted to come and take. It’s clearly your fault for enticing me.

Who are “U.S. Asylum Officers?” Are they sworn officers of the Federal Government? Help me with this one.

Well then, maybe they shouldn’t try to come here illegally in the first place. Do what is legal and right.

Running to federal court to block or enjoin immigration policy is a signature move for leftists in the Trump era, which makes any negotiation with them a pointless endeavor.

Exactly- It would be much better if Mexico were an enemy then we could militarize our border (the only way USA survives)
