Dear Gov. Murphy: You’re wrong, you’re throwing tantrums, you’re acting like Donald Trump, you have no plans to fix New Jersey, and we’ll run the state government without you if we have to.

That’s essentially the message state Senate President Stephen Sweeney fired at Gov. Phil Murphy on Wednesday, shortly after the Democratic governor lambasted the Democratic-controlled state Legislature over the state budget they recently sent him.
New Jersey is prepping for a budget cliffhanger for the third straight year, even though Democrats run all branches of government. Murphy is set to decide Sunday what happens to the spending plan — including whether he’ll shut down the state government.
With only days left for a resolution, Wednesday started with Murphy accusing lawmakers of passing a budget that protects millionaires, opioid manufacturers, and the gun lobby while ignoring what the people of the Garden State want.
“I’ve kind of had it with folks who can’t answer that very clear question: Who’s side are you on?” Murphy said during a news conference in Paterson.
That apparently set Sweeney off. The lawmaker, who is stuck in what seems like an ever-escalating feud with Murphy, issued a blistering retort just hours later.
“The Governor is repeating himself with a series of misguided and misinformed tantrums in an attempt to distract attention from his legislative and policy failures," Sweeney, D-Gloucester, said in a statement. “His statements have been inconsistent on the facts, but they have become consistently wrong.”
Then Sweeney compared Murphy to Republican President Donald Trump, a foil whom the governor frequently criticizes.
“He is starting to resemble Donald Trump in bombast, inconsistency and unreliability," Sweeney said. “I cannot, in good conscience, allow him to go unchallenged.”

Success to democrats is spelled: d-e-s-t-r-o-y.
Political graft is easier to hide where there is chaos. Democrats love chaos.
NJ politics is always corrupt and chaotic.
A Republican Governor in 2022 won’t make a difference; he’ll be elected and reelected in 2025 and a Democrat will win in 2029.
NJ needs an Independent.

The folks running the Chinese Water Army are happy as hell about this.
Sweeney is a lefty’s lefty but Murphy doesn’t know what he’s doing and Sweeney knows it.
Their “debate” with their 27 candidates or whatever will be like a food fight I think.
Yet their supporters will keep voting Democrat.
I have never seen President Trump become bombastic.
They do all they can to try to create an explosive scene, but I think our President has patience that I have never seen before.
Have they become bored with comparing him to Hitler.

In a word: NO. The corrupt government here (Christy included) raised gasoline taxes twice under the pretext of repairing our dilapidated roadways. They can’t prove that a dime of that money went for that purpose. I’ll be so happy when I get to change my moniker here and move the hell out. Wildwood and other shore communities that charge to use their beaches, White House Hoagies in Atlantic City and the produce are just not worth it!
