I noticed that they didn't release the name or picture of the perp. Nor did they reveal the sex.
My suspicion is that the perp wanted to provoke a reaction from Eric, who would then be caught on camera punching the perp. The incident would then be turned into a media circus for the next few months. The perp would also sue Eric for assault, with the trial being held in front of a NYC jury pool.
