She was CLEARLY trying to connect our detention facilities when Nazi death camps, and just for political gain. She was assuming that either no one would know the difference, or that the media would cover for her otherwise.

By their re-definition of the words summer camps, daycare centers, and public schools are in the same category. After all, under threat of arrest the government separates children from the their parents for 5 out of 7 days a week for most of the year and groups them together in buildings where the children are unable to leave without permission.
Under that absurd definition, there is nothing wrong with the immigration detention facilities, since they are just like summer camps or schools.
And we all know that was not what Rep. Cortez was trying to say.
Maybe she should look at the living conditions of the illegals in her neighborhood.many of the children in DC live in unbearable conditions while their parents are all drugged out or in prison.
