Pelosi, Democratic leaders seek to quell liberal revolt over border bill

If democrats really cared about the children, they would work to solve the asylum mess that endangers the children by drawing them here.

The underlying problem is that far more migrants are entering our custody than we are able to handle.

Move the facilities to Mexico, preferably southern Mexico. Set up a joint commission between Mexican and American authorities on creating humane conditions for illegal immigrants entering Mexico from South and Central America.

Co-fund it with Mexico and maybe Canada as part of the new trade deal. Offer incentives in the form of tariff relief for milestones met.

Then send it to the Democrats and see what they do. At worst, set up the facilities in Mexico, 20 miles from the US border. Put the judiciary that is hearing cases there.

During the last Presidential election, the Left consistently trashed Trump’s position about the crisis on the southern border. After he was elected, the criticism continued with claims that he was “manufacturing” a crisis as part of some racist plot. Now that the numbers are undeniable, and we are being flooded with illegal aliens, the Left blames the President for allowing children to suffer and for not dealing with this crisis. In doing so, it ignores the fact that Obama was the one who put children in cages. If the Democrats actually cared about the illegal border crossers, instead of viewing them as a campaign issue, they would have worked with the President to secure our borders, to require asylum seekers to remain in Mexico while their claims are adjudicated, to undo the Flores decision, and to withhold benefits to those who break our laws to enter the country illegally. Instead of these common sense steps, the Democrats simply call the President a racist for caring about our country.
