Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) compared President Donald Trump to his predecessor, former President Barack Obama, for calling off a military retaliation against Iran’s regime.
“So I’ll wait to see additional information on it, but I think it’s important that people recognize that the United States is going to keep its word and not go down the path that President Obama went down,” Cheney told a CNN reporter on Friday.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I seem to recall the Cheneys supporting Ibamas wars on Libya and Syria.
What she wants, I fear, is a return to that kind of interventionism, in the spirit of her fathers Iraq War

Not much of a military strategy when your only options is to just bomb them. That is the mindset that both Liz and her Dad have. It is also the kind of mindset of a Meghan and John McCain. I think good ‘ol Lindsey Graham is starting to come around to a different kind of thinking since Trump. Graham used to be the same way.
There may still be a military retaliation; it’s only been a few days.
Showing them love for not killing dozens of innocents for no reason was a bit much. Just emphasize the disproportionate reaction such an action would provoke. That's the language they understand.

You’re right and you know why? Because outside the military-media complex, no one likes war. They of course love it, because it is exciting and drive up the ratings and generates demand for products like nothing else, but normal people outside the bubble do not.
This was true in WWII, in Vietnam, even with Iraq, where lies and ginned-up data was used to justify going to war.
Trump’s instincts about where the majority of Americans sentiments are is nearly always correct. He knows We the People do not want war unless we are attacked or it is a last resort, and Trump is doing the will of The People.
